Since I’ve been exploring the world of HDR there have been a few people asking how to get an HDR-like effect on their images without having to use a DSLR to bracket exposures or buying a program like Photomatix Pro… Well, in this tutorial I show you how to create fake HDR using Adobe Lightroom 3.

iPhoneography 101
One of my favorite features of my iPhone has to be the camera, and throughout my extensive travels I find myself using it a lot (I’m paranoid after having all my photo gear stolen at JFK airport a few years back). Since my iPhone is the camera that I have with me most often, I’ve had to refine my process quite a bit to get the best images possible. In this article I’ll walk you through my favorite iPhone camera apps and my process for taking/editing photos while on the go.
Auto Bracketing Exposures (Canon)
Recently I’ve been posting several HDR photos across the web and, to say the least, people have be intrigued as to how I’m shooting them and how I’m processing them. Well, earlier this week I posted a video on exactly how I process an HDR shot, so today I thought I’d give you a little video on how to use Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB) on your (Canon) camera. This is merely a tutorial on how to set up auto-bracketing. This is NOT meant to be an HDR how-to as there are several other key steps involved in the process. I just wanted to take a minute and show you how to do this because so many people had said that they have a DSLR but were unsure on how to set this up.
Processing HDR Photos
As I continue to go further down the rabbit hole of HDR photography, there have been a lot of people asking me exactly how I process my images and what tools I use to produce them. In this video I walk you step-by-step through my workflow of processing an HDR image. Of course you do have to get the setup correct with you camera, but I’m assuming you know how to do that already. If not, here’s a quick little checklist:
