What’s on My iPhone These Days

head

Everyone is constantly asking me what apps I have installed on my iPhone… Well, the truth of the matter is that it changes so frequently that sometimes I don’t even know all the apps I have! However recently I’ve become better at maintaining my apps and only installing ones that I use on a regular basis, so I thought I’d share those with you here.

What’s on the “Home” Screen

My “Home” screen is reserved for the apps I use the most. As you can see it’s very “social heavy” but also has some utility apps that I use quite often as well. You’ll also notice I’ve rearranged the dock area of my phone to house the phone, email, calendar, and settings apps. I feel like I need access to these at all times, so I keep them in a static spot.

What’s on Page Two

The second page of my iPhone contains various entertainment apps, my travel and miscellaneous folders, as well as Notes and Shine (a weather app). The bottom row contains my health and fitness collection which helps me track my runs and my ever-dwindling weight. Oh yeah, this is also where I store the only games that I play… Flight Control and Tiny Tower are both AWESOME.

What’s on Page Three

The third and final page contains a few travel utilities, shopping assistants and some random apps that I find useful. Basically this is all the stuff that either wouldn’t fit in one of my folders on the previous screen or simply isn’t used enough to make the all-important “home” screen collection.

As I said, my app collection is constantly evolving and changing, and by the time you read this I probably will have changed an app or two already. You can bet that my “home” screen stays relatively the same no matter what though, so just in case you were wondering what my “must have” apps are for the iPhone, just reference the first image and that should give you a pretty good idea.

Hootsuite, Yelp, lastpass, lynda, photosync, daily tracker, dragon dictation, wordpress, springpad, smugshot, spotify, fring, and netflix for the kids. Some additions to what you have. Photosync is really cool, plus I have some really nice guitar apps. Mi wi fi is a sweet app I had on my 3gs, but scared to jb my iphone 4.
I need to bite the bullet and get a macbook, or Imac. Problem is I have lots of money invested in windows programs, IE adobe cs5 products, office etc. Only reason for wanting a mac I guess is coda..

My first page has nothing but folders (Productivity, Lifestyle, Utilities, Navigation, Entertainment, etc)
My second page is all the apps I’m testing out.

Funny that I’m compulsive about keeping my apps organized, but not my work area…

I recommend “Qrafter” as a better QRcode, barcode, etc scanner. =)

Got something to say? Go for it!
